This assessment is based on data from a single digital camera and supports the need for developing a stereo DIC system. A prototype instrument for measuring spatial displacement values of points on curved surfaces of tested objects using the Stereo DIC method has been designed. The development of a device and corresponding mathematical algorithms has allowed for real-time determination of the optical parameters of the stereo system. These parameters are essential for calculating the spatial coordinates of the surfaces of the structures being investigated.
