Mechnikov National University popup.description2  The causes and intensity of degradation processes under the conditions of agricultural use are established, the trends in the change in the agro-ecological state of rainfed (non-irrigated) and irrigated chernozems and their properties are reflected. The patterns of spatial differentiation of chernozem degradation factors were established, including processes of erosion, methods of their geo-informational modeling were developed. A spatial GIS-implemented model of leaching-accumulation and rationalization of the use of chernozems was developed, adapted to the natural and economic conditions of the steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. A set of measures for protection, reproduction and increase of fertility, preservation of ecological functions of chernozems is proposed.
