Its preservation is an important task today. The purpose of the work is to find out and analyze the species composition of the fauna of terrestrial and aquatic animals of the territory of the "Znesinnia" RLP, to identify its rare component, to evaluate the territory of the RLP from the point of view of its importance for its fauna. The fulfillment of tasks in this regard included: analysis of scientific publications on the fauna of the studied territory, conducting field research on the territory of the RLP and analysis of the results obtained, compiling a list of vertebrate and invertebrate species of this territory, sociological assessment of the fauna of the RLP. As a result of conducted field research and analysis of literary data, it was found that the fauna of the "Znesinnia" RLP includes: mammals - 31 species belonging to 6 orders; birds - 103 species belonging to 14 orders; reptiles - 6 species belonging to 2 orders; amphibians - 10 species belonging to 2 orders; bony fish - 9 species belonging to 4 orders, arachnids - 160 species belonging to 1 order and insects - 1190 species belonging to 12 orders. Of the vertebrates that are common in this territory of the RLP, 16 are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine (2021). Also registered are 7 species listed in the regional rare species list. 128 species are included in the Appendices of the Berne Convention, 49 species are included in the Bonn Convention, and 11 species are included in the Washington Convention. 15 species of insects with official protection status are known to have been found on the territory of the RLP. 12 species are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine (2021). Four species (Dytiscus latissimus, Lucanus cervus, Lycaena dispar and Xylocopa valga) are included in the IUCN Red List; and 5 are protected by the Berne Convention.
