Clarification of the results of the analysis of scenarios 1 and 2 popup.stage_title Head Krukovskyi Pavlo H., Доктор технічних наук Registration Date 22-11-2023 Organization Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of NAS of Ukraine popup.description2 The research work performed in 2022, dedicated to modeling the spread of radioactive aerosols (RA) in the main volume (MV) of the NSC, the annular space of the Arch of the NSC and emissions into the environment in 2 types of scenarios (tasks) from the analysis, was clarified and supplemented operational safety of the "NBK-OS" complex in the event of RA release into the NBK MV and beyond: 1st in the case of the collapse of the structure of the Object Shelter (OS) and 2nd in the event of a fire on the roof of the mashzal. This necessity arose because, according to scenario 1, the release of RA into the MV of the NBK during the collapse of the structure of the OS, 8 kg of RA instantly spreads into the MV, which is not realistic for the volume of the MV of 1.3 million m3. In the previous work, there were also two more assumptions - the absence of settling of RA, as well as the absence of heat exchange of building structures under the NBK with the air of MV. This work takes into account both the local emission of RA from the central hall of the OS, as well as the spread of RA in the MV and deposition on all surfaces under the NBK, and also takes into account the convective air flows in the MV, which transport RA from local emissions to the places of leakage of low emission of RA into the environment . In order to take into account the additional clarifications listed above, improved models were developed and justifications for the quantitative values of the relevant parameters of the models were given. With the help of improved models, the calculated changes in the distribution of RA concentration in the MV and the integral emission of RA outside the NBK were specified, which are the final results of modeling for the possible selection of compensatory measures to protect personnel and the environment. The results of the simulation using the improved models showed significant differences compared to the results of the previous models regarding the levels of RA.
