Several compounds have been purified, which have been used in the reference library. An approach has been selected based on the total expression of FHV replicase with simultaneous suppression of the immune system. Replicase expression in the nervous system leads to larvae whose further development is arrested. This can be used to screen the compounds that restore development. There has been investigated the influence of temperature and other workup conditions on the implementation of the screening system, and the effects of reference compounds. Sublethal doses for a number of compounds have been identified, which will inform future screening efforts. Wild-grown and room plants have been harvested to obtain samples for screening; optimal conditions for the plant extraction have been determined.
