In particular, a wide range of results of scientific investigations, which were conducted by predecessors on issues of criminal-legal protection of forest relations, were demonstrated and critically interpreted; related and at the same time classic criminal law issues are considered; analyzed the criminal legislation of foreign countries, the positive experience of which requires careful consideration when reforming domestic criminal legislation; proposals for improvement of both the CC of Ukraine and the CC project were made. The obtained results of the study will influence the further development of the conceptual model of criminal law norms on responsibility both for offenses against the environment in general and in the field of forest relations in particular, and will also be used in rule-making activities in this area. In addition, within the framework of the research in the reporting period, the practice of applying Art. Art. 201-1, 245, 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which made it possible to identify numerous mistakes made in the classification of crimes in the field of forest relations. Deficiencies of the draft of the new Criminal Code of Ukraine were also identified in terms of describing the signs of criminal offenses against the order of using natural resources, in particular those of them that can be considered "successors" of illegal employment in fish, game or other aquatic extractive fishing, and ways to eliminate these deficiencies were suggested.
