With the help of chemical transformations, the presence of the carbene form has been reliably confirmed. Thus, siliformamidine reacts with chalcogens, wedges into C-H bonds of various hybridizations. It was shown that tetramethydiamino carbene reacts according to a similar scheme. The obtained data made it possible to predict the reactivity of silylformamidine with respect to various organic substrates. This was realized on the example of benzenes, pyridines, pyrazoles, thiophenes, and condensed heterocycles.The interaction of silylformamidine with freons and C60 fullerene was studied.
