The subject of the research is scientific-methodological principles and applied tools for ensuring the social protection of ATO/ JFO participants and the social integration of internally displaced persons in the conditions of increasing threats to social security in Ukraine. The aim of the work is scientific substantiation and development of applied tools to ensure social protection of anti-terrorist operation (ATO) / joint forces operation (JFO) participants and social integration of internally displaced people (IDP) under conditions of increasing threats to social security. Research methods: general scientific methods (generalization, comparison, functional and structural-logical analysis, synthesis, data systematization), statistical methods, method of bibliometric content analysis, method of graphic integration, method of expert evaluations, etc. Objectives of the research: - development of methodology and research of needs of ATO / JFO participants and IDP, expectations concerning social services and tools of social protection; - improvement of methodology of research of social integration of target groups; - development of scientific bases for assessing the socio-economic effectiveness of social protection tools for participants of ATO/JFO and IDP; - assessment of the effectiveness of social protection according to the needs of target groups; - development of scientific and applied bases of sociological monitoring of the society’s attitude to the participants of ATO/JFO and IDP, understanding of the need for their social support and readiness to provide it; - systematisation of world experience in achieving social security through social protection of participants in hostilities and social integration of IDP.
