Registration Date 30-11-2023 Organization Institute of Fisheries of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  The specificity of the genetic structure of bighead and silver carp was characterized by ISSR markers: A - (CTC)₆C; B – (GAG)₆C; C – (AGC)₆G; E – (AGC)₆C. A total of 183 allelic variants were found in the bighead carp across all loci. Polymorphism analysis revealed 171 allelic variants in white carp. The predominance of heterozygotes was observed for four primers, as the inbreeding coefficient ranging from 0.125 to 0.402. The average fixation index was 0.249, which also indicates the predominance of heterozygotes over homozygotes in the studied population. The genetic variability in the Antoninsko-Zozulenets intra-breed type of Ukrainian scaled and framed carp breeds was evaluated using protein systems such as transferrin, esterase, albumin, posttransferrin. Five allelic forms were found at the transferrin locus in the studied stocks of scaled and framed carp: TfA, TfB, TfC1, TfC2, TfD. In the group of scaled carp, the fixation index was -0.566 for the EST locus, -0.103 for the ALB locus, and -0.461 for the pTf locus. In the framed carp group, the fixation index was -0.330 for the EST locus, -0.254 for the ALB locus, and -0.254 for the pTf locus. Scaled carp group exhibited higher heterozygosity levels (Ho = 0.640 and Hs = 0.530) than framed group (Ho = 0.519 and Hs = 0.444). Results indicate that under identical environmental conditions on the hereditary apparatus of fish, framed carp statistically displayed higher level of lymphocytes with micronuclei (2.6±0.3‰) and apoptosis (4.3±0.3‰ ), (P<0.05).
