Documents and materiel provided by the Customer: the test specification and technologies; the drawings and diagrams of the test facility; the technical data and characteristics of the combustion chamber; the WJ6X engine ignition system. Objective. Development of means for reliable ignition in the WJ6X engine combustion chamber to the extent stated in Topic 4 of Appendix 4 to Contract no. Y006-2012DOCX/S901005UR-1323/5828-156-12011 dated 18.04.2012. Methods of Research. Analytic computational and experimental methods of researches are used. The provided technical data are analyzed in accordance with the Contractor’s regulations, rules, criteria, experience for the design and operation of similar devices. Theoretical and Practical Results of Research. On the basis of the documents and materiel that the Customer has provided, the Contractor has developed five (5) technical reports and submitted to the Customer. The list of technical reports is given in Table A.1. The technical reports point out problems and deficiencies with existing units of the WJ6X engine combustion chamber; the summary and conclusions state analysis results and improvement suggestions to obtain a reliable ignition in the WJ6X engine combustion chamber. The copies of title pages of the technical reports submitted to the Customer, are attached as Appendix B. Effectiveness of innovation. The results of experimental verification prove the effectiveness of the developed means. Application. Bypass engines used on trunk-rout and medium-range airliners. Conclusions. The development work on provision of reliable ignition in the combustion chamber of the WJ6X engine within the frame of the Contract has been performed to the full extent.
