The report presents the results of determining the characteristics of the species composition of weeds in annual plantings of paulownia. The dynamics of the appearance of seedlings of wild plants during the weeding of paulownia plantations during the growing season were studied. The magnitude of the negative impact of the presence of weeds on paulownia plantations during the growing season has been determined. As a result of exploratory research, the possibilities of using soil herbicides to protect paulownia plantations have been determined. The possibility of using herbicides during the growing season to protect paulownia plantations from weeds has been clarified. Possibilities of using ecologically safe weed control methods to protect paulownia plantations have been established.
