One of the most significant sectors of the economy of Ukraine is the agro-industrial sector. The country's bioclimatic resources and focus on agricultural production, traditional socio-cultural features determined the active production of agricultural products and the need for urgent development of the social sphere of rural areas. The historical principle of insufficient funding for the development of rural areas and the objective difficulties of ensuring such development have created a significant difference in the standard of living of the population of rural and urban areas, and in the efficiency of agricultural and industrial production. A complex problem of ensuring the development of rural areas has arisen, in overcoming which finance, banking and insurance can become one of the most effective methods of influence. The purpose of the work: substantiation of the theoretical, methodological and methodological-applied principles of the formation of financial, credit and insurance support in the conditions of comprehensive development of rural areas of Ukraine. The main results of the work: during the reporting period, methodological approaches to the formation of an innovative development model and theoretical approaches to determining the credit potential of the agricultural sector of the economy were improved, scientific and practical substantiation of the process of forming a financial policy focused on people, scientific and practical principles of managing the financial and economic security of agricultural enterprises . Conceptual approaches to the formation of the financial strategy of agricultural enterprises, the theoretical and methodological principles of the system of managing the current assets of agricultural enterprises, and the methodical approach to the assessment of damages caused by military actions in the east of Ukraine and the annexation of the Crimean peninsula have also gained further development.
