Contributions due to the possible existence of an excited electron and a contact interaction are taken into account. A study of deviations of the differential cross section and polarization observables from the predictions of the Standard Model in elementary particle physics is performed. Correlation coefficients depending on the spin states of the electron and positron are found with inclusion of the excited electron mechanism in the case when both beams are polarized. The left-right asymmetry is calculated with the inclusion of the contact e-e-gamma-gamma interaction for the process when one of the beams is polarized. Numerical estimates of the influence of the mechanism associated with the excited electron are given for various values of the beam energy and mass of the excited electron.
