The paper analyzes the provision of surgical care to the wounded with purulent complications of soft tissue gunshot wounds. The clinical and epidemiological characteristics of a gunshot wound were studied, and the treatment of injured people with gunshot wounds of soft tissues using low pressure therapy - VAC-therapy of gunshot wounds was analyzed. An analysis of the course of the wound process in combat surgical trauma was carried out on the basis of histological studies. The specifics of the application of dressings for various localization of gunshot wounds were determined, the technique of applying VAC dressings for various localization of gunshot wounds and the size of wound defects of soft tissues was developed and implemented in clinical practice. A domestic classification of gunshot wounds depending on their size and localization is proposed. The proposed complex scheme for the treatment of gunshot wounds of soft tissues with the formation of large defects, based on cleaning the wound surface with VAC therapy and preparing it for subsequent closure by plastic methods.
