A comprehensive approach to the forensic investigation of falsified automotive fuels with altered component composition involves the use of chromatographic and spectral research methods. It is shown that it is possible to obtain mixtures from widely distributed and available components using the mixing method, which can be classified as falsified automotive fuels. The results of this work can be used in the conduct of examinations on the study of petroleum products and fuel-lubricants, as well as in the training of experts in the field of automotive fuel research.
