The purpose of the study is to find out the peculiarities of growth, development and formation of yield properties of seed potatoes, to determine the coefficient of reproduction and yield of the seed fraction depending on the methods and rates of fertilizers applied in interaction with the fraction of planting material of different varietal composition in the right-bank forest-steppe. Research methods: field - to study the object and subject of research and their interaction; visual - to assess the resistance of plants to disease; laboratory - to determine the elements of the crop structure, analysis of quality indicators; calculation - to determine the area of the assimilation surface, photosynthetic potential, assessment of energy and economic efficiency of the factors studied; mathematical and statistical - dispersion processing of research results and determination of correlation and regression relationships between the factors studied. The research work is devoted to the study of the processes of growth and development of potato plants, the formation of high yields, increasing the multiplication factor, and the yield of seed fraction by optimizing the fertilizer system and the size of the fraction of planting material of different varietal composition. Optimal technological methods of growing seed potatoes that provide maximum linear growth, number of stems and tubers are proposed. The growth of aboveground vegetative mass of plants, area and leaf surface index, net productivity of photosynthesis and photosynthetic potential depending on the studied technological methods of cultivation were investigated. Regardless of the variety, the intensification of cultivation technologies increased the leaf surface area.
