Based on the adaptive potential, families characterized by indicators of the integral coefficient of the negative effect of drought greater than 1.45 were eliminated. For further research, there remained families characterized by indicators of the integral coefficient of the negative effect of drought less than 1.45: in the selection nursery, 45 families; there are 22 families in the polycross nursery. As a result of the research, a family was selected, which was recommended for transfer to the State variety test under the name of the Violet safflower variety.
