The purpose of the NDR is to study the radiation safety of storage facilities and shelters in the Kamianets-Podilskyi district. The object of research is the process of increasing the level of environmental safety and public health protection. The subject of research is the observation of spatial variations in the volumetric activity of radon and its decay products. The principle of operation and use of the AlphaE device for measuring the volume activity of radon is described. An approach to the selection of observation points to obtain a general picture of radon contamination of shelters on the territory of the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi has been developed. The results of measuring the volume activity of radon were obtained and analyzed. Recommendations are given on measures to combat radon pollution.
