The purpose of the research is to identify the best of them based on the introduction of new genetic sources for economic and valuable traits, to involve them in the selection process and, based on them, to create domestic varieties of rare vegetable plants with high indicators of productivity and resistance to biotic factors of the environment for open soil and selection-valuable plant lines with high adaptive potential and a complex of valuable biological and economic properties for replenishment of the genetic bank and use in breeding practice; to determine the optimal effect of γ-irradiation of the obtained mutant gene pool and to identify the sources of economically valuable traits in lettuce. The subject of the research is introduced, collectible, selection-valuable and linear samples of rare vegetable plants, mutant forms of lettuce. Research methods are field, hybridization, individual-family and mass sampling, descriptive, mathematical and statistical. In accordance with the task, successive stages of selection work were carried out over the years of research. In 2021, the Lima Zarichanka 68 bean line with a yield of young seeds (of the "flazheol" type) of 26.2 t/ha (20.2% more than the standard) was transferred to the NCGRRU. In 2022, the Ozon 365 cornsalad variety with a yield of green mass of 14.0 t/ha (17.5% more than the standard) was submitted for state variety testing. Submitted for state variety testing in 2023: oat root variety Promethey with a root crop yield of 23.0 t/ha (26.7% more than the standard); the Syla spanish scorzonera variety with a root cr Product Description popup.authors Sergey I.
