The object of research is polymeric hydrogels based on acrylic acid, for decontamination of tritium contaminants on surfaces. The purpose of scientific research is to develop methods for decontamination of components and objects of industrial premises contaminated with tritium compounds to reduce the equilibrium concentration of tritium oxides in the air of industrial premises to permissible levels by decontamination with polymer hydrogels. The relevance of the work lies in the fact that its results can be used in activities related to the application of measures aimed at reducing the equilibrium concentration of tritium oxides in the air of the production facility by decontamination of contaminated surfaces. The practical significance of the presented studies lies in the possibility of creating effective methods for decontamination of contaminated surfaces with tritium compounds, low waste generation after decontamination and compatibility with various surfaces. A method for obtaining a polymeric composite hydrogel based on acrylic acid and kaolin for decontamination of surfaces contaminated with tritium has been developed. The research method is theoretical calculations and experimental studies. According to the results of the first stage of research, 1 article was published, 1 report was made at the conference. The results of the research can be used by scientists and engineers engaged in the development of new technological methods of decontamination, which are aimed at removing tritium contaminants from the surface layers of objects and equipment. Predictive assumptions about the development of the object of study – the results of theoretical and experimental studies can become a fundamental basis for the creation of technologies aimed at reducing the radiation impact of tritium on personnel and the environment. Field of application – Nuclear Physics and Power Engineering. Product Description popup.authors popup.nrat_date 2023-12-09 Close
