Statistical data of official documents have been processed. The calculation of the protection factor was carried out from the dangers of the region and the degree of its protection is determined. The work examines the dynamics of natural emergencies in Ukraine and the vulnerability of the population and territories to them over the past 20 years. An analysis of the number and distribution of natural emergencies depending on the region of Ukraine was carried out. Certain regularities of their number and type depending on the region are indicated. The proposed map with the main types of natural hazards displayed, which allows to identify the trends that form the greatest threats in one or another territory and to improve the system of preventing the occurrence and liquidation of the consequences of natural hazards, determining directions for improving the risk management mechanism at the state and regional levels, forming new management approaches and specific means of their implementation.
