Research methods: enzyme immunoassay and biochemical analysis, clinical examination and functional assessment of the state of organs and systems in patients. Results and their novelty: Information materials and informed consent of the patient were developed. A survey and clinical examination of 100 patients were conducted. A study of the biological age of 39 patients with diabetes who suffered from COVID-19 and controls was conducted. Databases for 339 patients were formed. Changes in a number of parameters of lipid metabolism in the blood plasma of patients with diabetes and COVID-19 were determined. An increase in the level of C-reactive protein was noted. For the first time, studies on the effect of SARS-CoV-2 infection on the rate of biological aging have been started and preliminary data have been obtained Implementation of the SRW results: The implementation of research results into practice will improve the prevention of vascular and neurological complications of diabetes in the post-diabetic period, optimize the treatment of patients, reduce disability, and influence the rate of biological aging. Description of the final product: The data obtained will contribute to the development of algorithms for the early identification of categories of patients at high risk of developing complications of COVID-19, the development and implementation of clinical recommendations for the treatment of patients with diabetes who have had COVID-19. These developments are intended to: develop recommendations for practical healthcare authorities regarding the implementation into practice of developed methods of pathogenetic treatment of patients with diabetes who have recovered from COVID-19, carrying out rehabilitation and preventive measures.
