To perform the work, standard hydrobiological methods and methods elaborated in the European Union taking into account the requirements of the EU Water Framework Directive were used. As a result of the performed investigations in 2023, an inventory was carried out for the first time and typology was made for 60 water bodies of the Irpin River basin, model water bodies within each type were distinguished. The state of 32 hydrotechnical objects was assessed. Unique data on the species composition and structure of the main communities of hydrobionts were obtained in the autumn-winter period. On the whole, six massifs of surface waters representing potential reserves of biodiversity have been pre-defined. A list of 13 groups of pressures on hydroecosystems was compiled and their ranked assessment was provided. A list of ecosystem services has been compiled. Based on the results of the study, three abstracts of reports were published and one article was submitted for publication and reviewed in Hydrobiological Journal (Q3). The results of identification and typology of surface water bodies of the Irpin River basin were submitted to the State Water Agency of Ukraine for correcting information on the «Water Resources of Ukraine» geoportal, and the Act of Implementation has been received.
