Head Vasyliev Oleksandr D., Доктор фізико-математичних наук Registration Date 14-12-2023 Organization Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science National Academy of Science of Ukraine popup.description1 Development of lightweight titanium-based interconnect materials for SOFC CHP systems (combined heat and power systems besed on solid oxide fuel cells) and study of their physical and mechanical properties in the initial state and after aging in conditions close to the operating conditions of SOFC. popup.description2 The object of the study: the regularity of influence of heat treatment regimes close to SOFC operation on the properties and structure of titanium-based materials. Research subject: Titanium-based materials. The goal of the work: Development of titanium-based materials for their further use as SOFC interconnects and investigation of the effect of thermochemical treatment on changes their structure and properties. Research methods: Scanning electron microscopy (SEM); laser granulometric analysis; spark plasma sintering, hot pressing, three-point bending strength measurement, energy dispersive x-ray mapping and x-ray phase analysis. Novelty: the project is aimed at solving the problem of the negative impact of chromium steels (the SOFC interconnect material) on the SOFC and, as a result, reducing the degradation of the electrical properties of the SOFC during operation and increasing the life of the SOFC battery. The proposed material can prevent chromium poisoning during SOFC operation and will contribute to the development of commercially attractive small and lightweight SOFC batteries for mobile systems. The connect with other scientific works: the topic of the work is, in fact, a continuation of the scientific research work on the topic "Light-weight interconnect based on Ti-Si-C for fuel cell application", which was carried out at the Institute for Problems of Material Sciences NAS of Ukraine under the targeted comprehensive program of scientific research NAS of Ukraine "Fundamental aspects of renewable hydrogen energy and fuel cell technologies" Product Description popup.authors Brodnikovskyi Dmytro Mykolayovych Brodnikovskyi Iegor Mykolaevych Orest P.
