The subject of the study is the theoretical provisions, methodological and legal principles of the functioning of mechanisms of economic diplomacy in the conditions of Ukraine's integration into the world economy. The goal is to develop theoretical provisions and practical recommendations for improving the mechanisms of economic diplomacy of Ukraine in the context of the strategic task of the country's accession to the European Union. The set goal determined a number of research tasks: to characterize the historical and theoretical foundations of the formation of economic diplomacy, to find out the theoretical and methodological basis of its functioning, to establish a normative and legal basis for the functioning of economic diplomacy, to study the economic diplomacy of foreign countries, to consider the potential of economic and mathematical modeling in studying the modern practice of economic diplomacy, as well as to investigate the relationship between economic diplomacy and the economic security of the state, on the basis of which to develop scientific and practical conclusions and recommendations for improving the mechanisms of domestic economic diplomacy. Research methods - general and special methods of scientific knowledge, which were applied depending on the specifics of a specific task. The scientific novelty consists in the development of theoretical and practical recommendations for improving the mechanisms of economic diplomacy of Ukraine in the context of the strategic task of the country's accession to the European Union. The practical value lies in the fact that the conclusions formed are of both scientific-theoretical and practical interest in improving Ukraine's economic diplomacy.
