The laboratory has the necessary equipment to conduct pilot tests of the restorative coatings developed by the research team at agricultural, food processing, utility, energy, transportation and defense enterprises. At the stage of developing the composition of the charge of flux-cored wires, we used the Sagalevich-Potak diagram modified by M. Student and T. Stupnytsky, which allows for a semi-quantitative assessment of the phase composition of coatings without complex X-ray studies. The phase composition of coatings determines their important mechanical properties: tensile strength, residual tensile stresses, and the approximate level of microhardness, and thus wear resistance. To develop corrosion-resistant coatings from cored wires, we used calculation formulas that allowed us to determine the required chromium content in the coating lamellas to ensure a chromium concentration at least 12 wt. %. The uneven distribution of chromium in different coating lamellae due to their microheterogeneity, as well as the depletion of the solid solution inside the lamellae for chromium content due to the formation of chromium-containing borides, carbides, and oxides were taken into account. Experimental cored wires for the restoration of shaft-type parts operated in the limit lubrication conditions and in the presence of abrasive corrosive medium were developed and manufactured.
