The firstborns obtained by the interline type of selection were characterized by lower milk yield than the same-age females obtained by crossing lines. The highest hopes were given to the firstborns obtained during the selection of bulls of the Chief line from the father's side to the Astronaut line from the mother's side. Cows from the combination of Astronaut x Chief lines had the lowest hope for the first lactation and the highest fat content. The lowest values of the duration of the service period were in the direct and reverse crosses of the Chief and Eleveyshna lines, the cross of the Eleveyshna x Starbuck lines, as well as with interline selection in the Chief and Eleveyshna lines. The influence of different selection options on the growth indicators of replacement heifers was established. The first-born cows obtained as a result of the inline variant of selection are characterized by optimal evaluations by type. Most of the evaluated traits in line crosses were inherited according to the intermediate type, however, in the ♂Chifa 1427381 x ♀Eleveyshna 1491007 cross, the evaluation of individual traits statistically significantly exceeded the values of the corresponding evaluations of the firstborns of the paternal and maternal lines, and in the cows of the ♂Chifa 1427381 x ♀Valianta 1650414 cross by magnitude assessment of individual udder traits showed a dominance of the maternal line. First-born cows, which come from mothers of the modal class and the group of plus-variants, prevailed in terms of the number of peers from mothers from the group of minus-variants.
