Aim: to develop agrotechnical techniques for growing high-quality watermelon and melon seeds with drip irrigation of seeds in the conditions of the Northern Steppe of Ukraine. Methods: field and laboratory. Methods of obtaining watermelon and melon seeds depending on sowing dates, sowing scheme and plant density were studied. Control - growing seeds without irrigation (basic technology). The highest yield of watermelon seeds – 278.9 kg/ha, melon – 167.6 kg/ha was established with drip irrigation during the second sowing period (second decade of May) with a sowing scheme of 1.4 x 0.35 m with an increase in yield compared to the control ( without irrigation) respectively – 73.6 and 41.2 kg/ha. The highest profit for the cultivation of watermelon seeds - 149.7, melon - 121.5 thousand hryvnias/ha and the level of profitability, respectively 303.0 and 244.5%, was obtained with drip irrigation of seeds. The increase in profit for watermelon was UAH 43.6 thousand/ha, melons – UAH 33.1 thousand/ha, profitability levels were 39.7 and 29.5%, respectively. The "Method of growing watermelon and melon seeds using drip irrigation" (u 202305186) was developed. The method of growing watermelon and melon seeds under drip irrigation conditions with seed sowing in the second decade of May according to the sowing scheme of 1.4 x 0.35 m compared to the basic technology increases the yield of watermelon and melon seeds by 32-35%, profitability by 29-39% with obtaining high-quality seed. According to the research results, "Scientific and practical recommendations on the technology of growing watermelon and melon seeds using drip irrigation" have been developed for seed producers.
