The object of research is the genetic diversity of melon crops. Research methods: field, laboratory, mathematical-statistical. A selection and genetic assessment of 428 samples of melons, was carried out based on a complex of morphological and economic characteristics and properties. 18 samples were introduced and the prospects of their use as source material for synthetic selection were determined. A database of sources of economic and valuable traits and a database of standard varieties of valuable economic and biological indicators of melon have been created. Seven valuable samples of melons crops were identified for registration to the NCGRRU. Melon samples Pamyat Pangalo and Victoria are distinguished by a combination of early ripening, increased overall productivity and the content of dry soluble matter, surpassing the analogue in terms of productivity by 5.1–6.9 t/ha, average fruit weight by 0.12–0.24 kg, quality by 1 point. Pumpkin samples Krasnyi med, Konfetka, Lola were distinguished by a combination of early ripening, an increased number of fruits and a level of resistance against biotic and abiotic factors. They exceed their species analogues in early maturity by 5 days, multifertility by 0.1–1.1 units, resistance by 1 point. Watermelon samples Veles, Au-Producer are distinguished by a combination of monoecious (100%) with high productivity, surpassing the analogue in yield by 7.4–8.9 t/ha, in average fruit weight by 0.6–1.1 kg, in quality by 0.3–1.0%.
