The object of the research is emotional regulation in the professional activity of police officers. The subject of the study is the professional emotional competence of a police officer. Research methods are chosen based on the defined goals and tasks, taking into account its object and subject. To solve the tasks, a research program was developed, the implementation of which involved the use of a complex of general scientific methods: analysis and generalization of scientific psychological literature and the legal framework on the research problem, synthesis of the obtained information, content analysis. The results obtained: a set of trainings aimed at the development of emotional regulation and overcoming negative emotional states in the professional activity of police officers has been prepared. The proposed complex includes the following trainings: "Training to overcome the state of anxiety in the official activity of a police officer in wartime conditions", "Training to control aggressiveness in the professional activity of a police officer" and "Training to prevent emotional exhaustion of police officers in the context of challenges of war". The trainings are aimed at developing emotional regulation and overcoming negative emotional states in the professional activities of police officers, which is extremely important in the conditions of war, when a police officer must be able not only to protect his own mental health, but also to provide psychological first aid to others.
