The aim of the work: elucidation of the spectrum and characterization of pathogenic microflora in the occurrence of purulent post-traumatic and post-surgical bacterial complications. Methods of the research: biomaterial sampling methods, microbiological, cultural, biochemical research methods. Current data on the microbiological profile and dominant bacterial pathogens of wound surfaces and purulent complications have been updated. Military and civilian patients with purulent complications of gunshot and mineexplosive injuries and postoperative complications were examined. Pathological material was selected for the isolation of pathogenic bacteria. A comprehensive analysis of pathogenic microflora in patients with purulent bacterial complications of gunshot/mine-explosive injuries and postoperative interventions was carried out. Major bacterial pathogens present in samples of pathological material from patients with purulent complications were isolated and identified. Antibiotic resistance of dominant bacterial pathogens of wound surfaces and purulent complications was studied. A significant spread of microorganisms resistant to most of the used broad-spectrum antibiotics has been confirmed. A unique collection of clinical isolates of bacteria isolated from patients with purulent complications was established. This collection will be used during the second stage of the project in the search for specific lytic bacteriophages.   Product Description popup.authors Andriichuk Olena M. Budzanivska Iryna H.
