HYBRID PLASMA-ARC WELDING WITH MELTING ELECTRODE, ALUMINUM ALLOYS, HIGH STRENGTH STEEL, STRESS-DEFORMED STATE, WELDING PRODUCTIVITY, STRUCTURE OF WELDED JOINTS The object of the study is the effect of hybrid technologies of plasma-arc welding with a fusible electrode (PAW-MIG) on the stress-strain state of welded joints of aluminum alloys, as well as the formation of weld metal and structural-phase transformations of welded joints of high-strength steels. The purpose of the work is to improve the operational properties and quality of welded products from aluminum alloys and high-strength steels by applying PAW-MIG welding technologies. A comparative analysis of the parameters of the residual stress-strain state of butt joints of the AW-1561 aluminum alloy, 5 mm thick, performed by PAW-MIG welding according to two different technological schemes: in the free state and in the fixing equipment with subsequent release after cooling, was carried out. It has been established that PAW-MIG welding in a fixture followed by release after cooling provides a 15-fold reduction in total displacements and a 30% reduction in equivalent stresses, compared to the technological scheme of welding in a free state. For samples made of 09Г2С and Miilux Protection 450 steels with a thickness of 12 mm, the technological capabilities of the hybrid PAW-MIG process in terms of increasing productivity in comparison with automatic arc welding with a fusible electrode in an active gas (MAG) were investigated, the nature of structural and phase transformations in the metal of the thermally affected zone was analyzed of Miilux Protection 450 steel. The technological advantages of hybrid PAW-MIG welding of high-strength steels have been established, in particular, a reduction in the level of structural and mechanical heterogeneity of the metal.
