Active groups on the PM surface were identified using IR and Raman spectroscopy, which can be used for environmental monitoring. The influence of PM on the key characteristics of glutamate-/GABAergic neurotransmission, generation of ROS, membrane lipid order were studied. A comparative analysis of the neuroactive effects of wood and plastic smoke preparations was conducted. Smoke preparations of both natural and anthropogenic origin have neurotoxic properties and disrupt the balance of excitatory/inhibitory neurotransmission that proves the connection of air pollution with PM with neurological disorders/neurodegenerative diseases. Effect of PM preparations on the intestinal mucosa integrity, microbiotic composition and the metabolic activity, on the inflammatory reaction and susceptibility to the development of chemically induced intestinal inflammation after administration of PM through a gastric tube, and on the gut-brain communication system was shown in normal and inflammatory conditions. A comparative analysis of the mucosa and gut microbiome in patients with irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis from polluted and agricultural regions was conducted. It has been shown that glutamate and GABA are signalling molecules involved in the gut-brain communication system, and change in the glutamate/GABA ratio is important indicator of balanced functioning of the excitation and inhibition system in the nervous system.   Product Description popup.authors Dudarenko Marina Volodymyrivna Paliienko Konstantin Olegovych Panas Ihor Dankovych Pastukhov Artem Olegovych Pozdnyakova Natalia Heorgiivna Rudenko Roman Mykolayovych Hodorovska Irina Оlexandrіvna popup.nrat_date 2023-12-20 Close
