According to SEM results, the synthesized powders have a conglomerate structure. The morphology of powder particles primarily depends on the content of Ln3+ in the material. In pure zinc oxide, the particles have a regular shape with a size of 20 to 50 nm. The introduction of Ln3+ led to a characteristic change in the morphology of the particles and their size. The results of the investigation of the morphology of the films showed that the concentration of lanthanide oxide in the initial target and the sputtering time have a decisive influence on the crystallinity and morphology of the ZnО films. Studies of the optical transmittance of zinc oxide films deposited on glass substrates showed that all samples have a sharp absorption edge in the 360-380 nm region and high transparency in the visible range of the spectrum.
