The purpose of the work was to evaluate and select breeding material of winter triticale based on a complex of agronomic traits and to transfer winter triticale variety to the state qualification examination. Research methods are field, mathematical and statistical. Research results and their novelty. In the control nursery, promising lines of winter triticale 23413, 23410, 23412, 23411, 23403, 23405, 23402 were selected according to the level of yielding capacity and a set of agronomic traits. In the preliminary test, promising lines 23117, 23116, 23119, 23114, 23118, etc. were selected, which exceeded the standard variety Amur in yield. In the competitive test, promising lines 23002, 23011, 23008, etc. were selected, which combine a high level of yielding capacity with other agronomic traits. Establishing phenotypic coefficients of correlation of productivity indices made it possible to reveal that the yield level is affected to varying degrees by the spike productivity components which gave us the opportunity to identify promising lines for their involvement in breeding programs. High-yield lines with frost resistance not reliably differing from the standard variety Amur have been identified. The group with high adaptive potential includes promising line 23004, 23015, 23002, which can serve as starting material for the creation of high-yielding varieties in the conditions of the Forest Steppe of Ukraine. The Line 13 has been submitted for state qualification examination to the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination as a new variety MIP Renesans (application number 23022004), which was characterized by a complex of valuable economic traits.
