The purpose of the work is to develop agroecological characteristics of new varieties and lines of winter wheat with the aim of improving the elements of its cultivation technology in the Right Bank Forest Steppe of Ukraine. Research methods: field, accounting and weighting, physical, mathematical and statistical. The results. Depending on the preceding crops, were investigated that the difference in the earing time of winter wheat varieties and lines was 1–3 days, and the sowing time was 1–4 days. Precedingly, the varieties MIP Nika, MIP Feeriia and the line Erythrospermum 60724 were eared. The highest yield of winter wheat was determined after preceding crop green manure (7.32 t/ha), and the lowest – sunflower (5.36 t/ha). After the preceding crops corn and green manure, the highest yield was obtained for sowing on September 25, after sunflower, soybean and mustard – on October 5. The varieties MIP Vidznaka, MIP Aelita, MIP Aurika and the lines Lutescens 37548, Lutescens 60355 were identified with the higher level of productivity. The yield level of winter wheat mainly depended on the weather conditions of the growing season (influence of 28.4 %) and preceding crop (15.0 %). A higher reaction to the change in growing conditions was noted in the varieties MIP Dovira, MIP Vidznaka and the line Lutescens 60293.The varieties of MIP Nika and MIP Darunok responded best to agrotechnical measures, in which the yield varied in direct dependence on agrotechnical conditions. It was found that green manure and soybean contributed to higher protein and gluten content and sedimentation rate. According to the set of grain quality indicators, the best varieties are MIP Yuvileina, MIP Roksolana, MIP Aurica and the line Lutescens 60702. The field of application is grain production.
