The purpose of the work stage is to establish the influence of varietal characteristics of willows and basic agrotechnical measures on the intensity of energy biomass accumulation at different stages of growth. Research methods and equipment. The substantiation of scientific hypotheses was carried out on the basis of the analysis and synthesis of available scientific information. Research was carried out in laboratory and field conditions using multifactorial planning methods. The obtained experimental data were statistically processed using dispersion, correlation and regression analyzes with the involvement of modern software. Results and their novelty. On the basis of research, the productivity and energy intensity of the biomass of eight willow varieties were determined depending on the elements of their growing technology, in particular due to the introduction of nitrogen fertilizers and different cycles of harvesting. Main technical and operational indicators. Due to varietal characteristics, it is possible to increase the production of willow biomass from 1 ha to 3.23 t/ha/year, and due to fertilizers – by 2.93 t/ha/year in the ``Tora'' variety and by 3.10 t/ha/year year in the Ternopilska variety. Recommendations for using the results.
