In the city of Potltava, 31 crow nests and 189 magpie nests were found and mapped on plots with multi-story, industrial, and commercial buildings (771 ha) and in parks and squares (207 ha). In Kyiv, 45 crow nests and 47 magpie nests were found and mapped on plots of this type measuring 253 ha and 84 ha. Based on the collected material, preliminary calculations of nesting density of species and height of nest construction were made. Based on the collected material, a magpie and crow nest database has been prepared for publication, which will be published soon as an electronic publication in the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) database. The analysis of spatial placement and characteristics of interspecies competition between magpies and crows in the environment of the city of Poltava has been started.
