The purpose of the work is to assess the protective polymer coating in the under-roof space of the Shelter object as of 2023 and forecast its condition for the next year. Methods of research and forecasting are mathematical statistical analysis of the results of monitoring the activity of radioactive emissions from the Shelter object, the level of radioactive contamination that is being removed, the fallout of radioactive aerosols at specified control points, the concentration of radioactive aerosols in the main volume of the NSC-SO complex and assessment protective properties on the area of the destroyed coating in accordance with DSTU 9.407-84 and determination of the thickness of the coating on selected witness samples in the laboratory. The results of scientific research will be used to make a decision on the timing of irrigation with a protective coating of interbuttress surfaces and "slump" surfaces in the under-roof space of the Shelter object when the processes of destruction of the protective coating by deflation processes are detected, which lead to an uncontrolled increase in the concentration of radioactive aerosols inside the NSC-SO complex.
