It is shown that in samples of ceramics based on SiC, the total sputtering of silicon atoms is 1.6-1.7 times more than that of carbon atoms, and in samples of ceramics based on TiO2, the total sputtering of oxygen atoms is 3.5-3.6 times more than titanium atoms. Due to the sputtering of more silicon atoms than carbon in SiC and more sputtered oxygen atoms than titanium in TiO2, after the dissociation of SiC and TiO2, the conductivity should increase, that is, the surface electrical resistance of the irradiated sample should decrease, which was confirmed experimentally. Calculated profiles of ionization, phonon generation, atom redistribution (segregation), vacancy formation and damage (dpa), dislocation formation in SiC and TiO2 samples upon irradiation with helium ions with energies of 0.12 MeV and 4 MeV. The results of the modernization of the installation for determining the electrophysical characteristics of irradiated ceramic samples are presented. TiO2 samples were irradiated with helium ions up to doses of 1.2∙1018 ion/cm2, the results of microscopic and electrophysical studies were presented.
