No metastatic lesions of "sentinel lymph nodes" were detected in patients of the I group - because of this, surgical intervention was limited to microsurgical interventions. The following complications were found in this group: bleeding - 2.2%; intraoperative perforation of the stomach wall – 5.6%, there were no purulent-septic complications. In the II group (n=94), metastases in "sentinel lymph nodes" were detected in 36 (38.3%) patients, which required a low anterior resection of the stomach with total mesorectomectomy. The following complications were found in this group: bleeding accounted for 6.3%; there were no intraoperative perforations and purulent-septic complications.
