The purpose of the work – the synthesis of new bis(benzoazacrown-ethers), in which the flexible chain includes Nitrogen atoms with substituents of different nature. Study of the complexation of the obtained macrocycles with metal cations. Establishing the dependence of the complexing properties of the synthesized calixarene derivatives, namely stability, selectivity and stoichiometry of the complexes, on the nature and number of crown-ether substituents in the macrocycle molecule. On the base of substituted iminodiacetic acids a bis(benzoazacrown-ether) with an unsubstituted Nitrogen atom in the flexible chain was obtained. By alkylation with a various reagents, new bis(benzoazacrown-ethers) containing the substituted Nitrogen atoms are included in the flexible chain were synthesized. The complexation of the obtained macrocycles with cations of alkali and alkaline earth metals were studied. For a compound with an unsubstituted Nitrogen atom with the largest cesium cation, the appearance of a complex with a composition of 2:1 (L:M) with a very high value of the stability constant is observed. The complexing properties of the obtained calixarenes toward cations of s- and d-elements were studied using the methods of spectrophotometric titration and extraction in the liquid-liquid system. Some compounds are capable of effectively removing the lithium cations (89.79%), sodium cations (97%) and iron(III), copper, nickel and cobalt cations (> 35%) from the water medium.
