Subject of research is the influence of anthropogenic factors on rivers’ deltas formation in the northern part of the Black Sea basin. Research was conducted to detect land cover changes in the rivers’ deltas of the Dnieper, Dniester and Ukrainian parts of the Danube on the northern Black Sea coast. It was established that the river flow regulating in the Black Sea basin leads to significant changes in their hydrological regime in the deltas, as well as a decrease in the inflow of sediments into the deltas. In such conditions, these landscapes change due to the weakening of flood inundations, the overgrowth of water bodies with air-water and water vegetation, partial drying of hydromorphic soils, and sometimes their salinization, accumulation of organic silt. The increase in the areas of the Dnieper and Dniester deltas has almost stopped, and in the Danube delta, both accumulation and erosion of its sea edge are taking place. Changes in the land cover of the Dnipro delta due to the military actions of the Russian Federation against Ukraine have been revealed. Product Description popup.authors Ladyka Maryna M.
