Registration Date 26-12-2023 Organization Institute of Applied Physics National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  Studies of the effect on resistance to high-voltage breakdowns of copper samples irradiated with metal ions and coated with high-entropy alloys were carried out. It was shown that irradiation of copper samples with Ar2+ ions and Fe2+ ions with a dose of D=1.6*10^17 ion*cm^{-2} improved breakdown resistance by 20-25%, which indicates: - displacement of gaseous impurities from the surface layers of the sample and smoothing of the surface itself; - an increase in the amount of radiation damage in the surface layer of copper, which leads to suppression of the field emission current. The technology of coating copper with a high-entropy alloy TiMoWCu has been developed, and the effect of such a coating on resistance to high gradient breakdowns has been studied, while the voltage at which the breakdown currents appear increases by 79%, the breakdown voltage by 35%, and the final breakdown voltage by 27%.
