The purpose of the study: to increase the efficiency of diagnosis of chronic apical periodontitis in military personnel by determining the clinical and laboratory features of its course. When studying the clinical features of the course of chronic apical periodontitis, the same clinical symptoms of inflammation were found in military personnel with various forms of chronic apical periodontitis in the same phase of the course of the disease: in a state of remission (fibrous, granulomatous, granulating) or in a state of exacerbation (acute serous periostitis, acute purulent periostitis, subperiosteal abscess). It was established that the severity of the clinical course of chronic apical periodontitis does not depend on the nature of the radiological picture of pathological changes in the periapical focus of inflammation. It was found that the indicators of cellular immunity change depending on the inflammatory phase of chronic periapical periodontitis and are close in different forms in the same phase of the course of the disease: in remission of chronic apical periodontitis, the average relative value of CD 19+ is 1.5 times less than in exacerbation (p = 0.019 ), the average values ​​of CD8+ cells are significantly higher: (28.8 ± 7.5% vs. 25.3 ± 5.6%, respectively, p < 0.05).
