A model of the information and communication activity of the NSAL of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine in the modern conditions of the globalization of information processes is proposed. The concept of electronic communication as a factor of optimization of integrated service for users of the NSAL in conditions of open access to information is considered. Important importance was attached to the development of the resource base and communication and service services of the NSAL, the initiation of new approaches to the formation and dissemination of information, its implementation through the creation of intellectual products using open content methods. The regulatory and legal framework regarding the implementation of the main library processes has been brought into line with the modern requirements of the development of the library business as a whole and the integration of Ukrainian libraries into the global information environment; harmonized international standards regarding library and information activities, electronic delivery of documents, international book exchange and creation of information databases, etc. The integrated library information environment has been improved on the basis of a single universal industry portal for access to national, educational, scientific, cognitive, agricultural library and information projects and information resources of libraries.
