The obtained results show that the concentration of hydrogen sulfide has a decisive influence on carbon dioxide corrosion, hydrogenation and resistance of 17Г1С-У steel to corrosion-mechanical destruction in chloride-acetate environments. The degree of this influence is determined by the nature and morphology of the corrosion products on the steel surface. Under standard conditions, mackinawite films slow down steel corrosion due to diffusion limitations of the reaction participants. Its further transformation into porous troilite accelerates corrosion. At a temperature of 60°С and a pressure of 5 MPa, troilite on the surface is compacted and slows down corrosion and practically eliminates hydrogenation. Hydrogen sulfide plays the main role in reducing the corrosion cracking resistance, corrosion fatigue under static and cyclic loads, and tribocorrosion of steel in hydrogen sulfide-carbon dioxide environments due to hydrogenation and embrittlement of the metal.
