Registration Date 31-12-2023 Organization State organization "National Institute of Phthisiology and Pulmonology named after F.G. Yanovsky National academy of medical sciences of Ukraine" popup.description2  The object of the study – patients with lesions of the lungs of coronavirus etiology; strains of viruses and bacteria. The aim of the work is to improve the treatment of patients with lung lesions of coronavirus etiology by differentiated use of drugs with etiotropic and pathogenetic effect at different stages of the disease Methods – clinical and radiological, microbiological, statistical. Method of microbiological studies have been developed to determine anticoronavirus and toxic effects of aminocaproic acid (ACA) and its active compounds in vitro, which consists in a certain sequence of determining the most sensitive cellular systems for in vitro studies, as well as the establishment of cytotoxic and antiviral action studied drugs with the use of three different (in the time of introduction of the studied samples) infection modes, which allows to increase the informativeness of research, to establish the potential toxic effect of the studied drugs, as well as their possible specific antiviral effect with the determination of the corresponding chemotherapeutic index (СTI). It was found that AСA on the model of coronavirus of infectious bronchitis IBV in the sensitive cell culture in vitro found low toxicity (CD50 within (63.26–118.76) mg/ml), which decreased over time. In the preventive-therapeutic and therapeutic mode of infection of the coronavirus, effective inhibition of virus reproduction after 24 and 48 h after the use of ACA in the range of non-toxic concentrations (ID50 within (7.91–15.82) mg/ml (HTI = 4–8) was established indicating the antiviral activity of the drug in the early stages of coronavirus reproduction. Considering the established antiviral activity and safety of AKK in vitro conditions and the presence of its registered dosage form for inhalation use, this drug can be considered as the most promising remedy for etiotropic treatment of coronavirus infection. Sphere of application – pulmonology.
