The research is dedicated to the problem of preserving historical ecosystems using the example of the Cadets' Grove in Kyiv. The purpose of the study is to trace the development of the historical Kadetsky Grove over time and to identify the main problems of the territory and provide basic proposals for their solution. Scientific research methods were chosen as the main ones: historical analysis, iconographic method, comparative analysis, analytical method, experimental method, photo-fixation method, sociological survey of residents. Scientific novelty. The study of the territory allowed to analyze the significance and potential of this territory. The results of the scientific research can be used in the landscape design of the area. Economic efficiency and social significance of proposals. The analysis of the territory and the existing problems allowed to formulate arguments for the feasibility of the proposed recommendations. It is argued what advantages for the Solomensky district will have the implementation of measures for the improvement and improvement of the green area to create an organized recreation area within the city. Conclusions and proposals. Recommended to implement the landscape design in the indicated areas. The aspect of engineering solutions is important, since communications pass directly through the thickness of the site, which are often broken, and this leads to frequent tearing and disturbance of green covers.
