Based on the results of the research, a system of seed production of promising-type tomato varieties was developed for the south of Ukraine, which provides for the cultivation of commercial varieties of the Ukrainian selection Kumach, Yuvileyny under the optimal seeding scheme of 50+160 cm and a density of 50 thousand plants/ha and provides an increase in the yield of high-quality seeds by 33.0-37.9% compared to the existing cultivation technology. One of the main elements of the technology is the use of a drip irrigation system for irrigation, with the purpose of watering to reduce the level of pre-irrigation soil moisture below 75% LM (lowest moisture content). Research has established that the Kumach variety was characterized by the highest seed productivity, which exceeded the Yuvileyniy variety by 4,3%. The yield of tomato seeds under the 50+160 cm sowing scheme was 7,5% higher compared to the 140 cm scheme. The increase in the density of plants of both varieties and under all sowing schemes contributes to the increase in seed yield. Increasing plant density to 50 thousand plants/ha increases seed yield by 28,2% compared to 30 thousand plants/ha. The economic effect of the introduction of the improved seed production system is 128,2 thousand ₴/ha, an increase in the profitability of cultivation by 64% and a decrease in the cost of seeds by 30% compared to the existing cultivation technology. Certified seeds obtained using improved technology have high quality indicators: energy of germination - 84-88%, germination capacity - 93-96%, varietal purity - 97-100%, Sowing and yield properties of seeds did not depend on the sowing scheme and the density of seed plants.
